blue-bell-recall

We imagine that at this point, through radio, TV, newspaper, social media, etc., you’ve heard about Blue Bell’s voluntary recall of all of its products – ice cream, bars, and other frozen items.  If not, just check out the full details here on Blue Bell’s website or check out Blue Bell’s official letter to customers from their President and CEO, copied below.  But you may be wondering what that means for you, the Calandro’s customer, especially if you’ve bought Blue Bell’s products recently.

If you haven’t bought Blue Bell products and don’t have any at home…

First off, all of the Blue Bell products at both Calandro’s locations have been pulled from the shelves – so that there’s no potential for anyone who’s unaware of the recall to buy something that could potentially be contaminated.  So if you haven’t bought any Blue Bell products recently, you’re in the clear.

If you have some Blue Bell products at home and/or you’ve bought any recently…

However, if you have purchased any Blue Bell product, we are taking any and all of their products back and providing full refunds.  Just follow the simple steps below:

1.  Gather up your Blue Bell products.

2.  Drive them over to your closest Calandro’s.

3.  Return them at the register for a full refund.

That’s it.  If you have any further questions about this, feel free to email calandros@calandros.com or give us a call at either of our locations – (225) 383-7815 for Government Street or (225) 767-6659 for Perkins Road.  In the meantime – here’s hoping that Blue Bell can get this resolved quickly and, most importantly, safely & completely so we can get their great ice cream and frozen products back on the shelves with no health risks.Bluebell message to hang on freezer April 2015
