Did you know we have some of the best Deli Special Orders options in town? Sushi Lovers Rejoice!

Folks - Sushi has been officially upgraded at Calandro’s!  While we have had sushi for some time, it had previously been made offsite. It was good, but we knew we could do better. So right now we are conducting a “soft opening” on our new live chef, made-to-order sushi bar (currently only available at our Perkins Rd. location) to set appropriate hours for the chefs and make sure we provide the best service at the right times during the day.  Even though we’re still working things out and the “Grand Opening” is yet to come, we did want to let you all know so you can come by, pick up some of the freshest, tastiest sushi in all of Baton Rouge, and help us to set our chefs’ schedules and get sushi choices out in the prepared case that *you* determine. Generally the chefs are making sushi throughout the day so the sushi case will always be full of great, super-fresh, made-on-site choices that you can pick up anytime.  You can even order party trays and platters if you want to add Japanese flair to your events (see the menus below). But, at the moment, if you’ve got a hankerin’ to get your very own, personally designed rolls and sashimi made as you watch, try and come in around lunchtime or dinnertime as this is when the chefs will be most likely to be working in the store.  And if you’ve got any comments, sushi requests, questions, or “oh my gosh this is the best sushi I’ve ever had”-type raves (we love those 😉 ) about this new thing...
